Music & Entertainment Executive
Creator • Writer • Producer
DawnAlexis
Let me reintroduce myself.
I've spent more than three decades in music and entertainment—first as an artist, then behind the scenes helping build artists, careers, teams and ideas.
Now I'm bringing all of those worlds together.
Music. Television. Film. Storytelling. Production.
And a few exciting upcoming things you won't want to miss, stay tuned.

01 / This chapter
I'm not starting over.
I'm starting from experience.
For a long time, much of what I built had somebody else's name at the center of it.
That was part of the journey.
I learned. I led. I created.
I helped other people turn ideas into something real.
Now I'm taking everything those years taught me and putting more of my own ideas into the world.
Not a comeback. Not starting from scratch.
A continuation—with a different name on the door.
Mine.

Off the clock
The work is serious.
I'm not always.
I love to laugh.
I love my family.
I love people.
I love love.
I can be surprisingly shy until you put me in a conversation about something I care about.
Then… good luck getting me to stop.
Creativity does that to me.
A great song. A great story.
An impossible idea. A fascinating person. Something somebody says that makes me see the world differently.
That's usually where you'll find me.
Curious. Thinking. Building.
And probably asking too many questions.
Then / Now
Artist.
Executive.
Creator.
Builder.
My career began on the artist side of the music business. Eventually, it took me behind the scenes, where I learned an entirely different side of entertainment.
I went on to serve as Director of Music & Operations at a record label and spent years working across artists, music, operations and creative development.
Today, I'm taking that experience into a broader creative chapter spanning television, film, music, production and original concepts.
Some you'll see soon.
Some I'm still protecting.

02 / What I Know
Things thirty years
taught me.
Short notes from the rooms I've been in. I'll keep adding them. Some are advice. Some are clues.
No. 001
The room tells you everything.
Before anybody speaks, you already know who's protecting the artist and who's protecting themselves. Watch who looks at the door.
No. 002
Talent is common. Follow-through isn't.
I've watched extraordinary voices disappear and ordinary ones build empires. The difference was never the gift. It was who kept showing up on a Tuesday.
No. 003
Say less until it's built.
The best things I've been part of were quiet for a long time first. There's a reason I'm still not naming a few of them.
More coming. Keep looking.
Behind / Now
So, what am I doing now?
Creating
Developing original television and film projects with strong voices and strong points of view.
Music
Developing new creative opportunities around songwriting, artist development and collaboration.
Producing
From idea to real. From what if to we made it.
Concepts
Building new entertainment concepts across traditional and emerging platforms.
Conversations
Creating conversations and experiences around reinvention, creativity, ambition and what experience teaches us.
Building
Building a creative company designed to hold much more than one idea.
I'll share the individual projects when they're ready.
But you don't have to wait until then to come inside the process.
Behind the scenes
Ideas look very different before everybody else sees them.
There are projects in development across television, film, music and digital storytelling. Some are funny. Some are dark. Some come from questions I couldn't stop thinking about.
Stay close
I'm building. I'm creating.
And every once in a while,
I might tell you something
before everybody else knows.
No inbox takeover. Just the good stuff.
